I grew up in Tallahassee and am a graduate from Florida State University with a degree in Art Education. My artwork integrates my love of nature and my passion for design with a focus in ceramic, textile, and jewelry arts.
As an art teacher, I aim to provide my students with the confidence to represent their unique visions and reach their fullest potential using a wide range of aesthetic, technical, and creative processes. I am so happy to be a part of the DTES family and to have the opportunity to create art with future generations.
Art Club
Art Club is open to fourth- and fifth-grade students who show strong effort on class art projects and maintain good behavior. Members meet before school on Wednesdays and Fridays to collaborate on creative projects, contribute to community initiatives, and explore up-cycled art techniques. Some years, the club may take a field trip to a local gallery or studio for inspiration.
Students can apply for a spot after winter break. Sponsored by Ms. Taylor, Art Club offers a fun, hands-on way to grow artistic skills while working together on meaningful projects.
