DeSoto Trail Elementary

Hello! My name is Stephanie Walker, and I am so happy to be part of the DeSoto Trail family. This is my 17th year in the classroom—five years as a school social worker and now twelve years as a teacher. I joined DTES in 2024, and it has quickly become home. I am truly excited for the year ahead! I believe that helping children grow means supporting both their academic skills and their emotional well-being. One phrase my students hear often is, “You can do hard things,” because I want them to know they are capable, strong, and never alone in their learning.

I was born and raised in Arkansas, and Florida has now become home for me and my husband and our wonderful three children. I love teaching and it continues to be a joyful and meaningful part of my life, and I feel honored to work with young learners each day. I look forward to a year filled with growth, confidence, and new discoveries!
