DeSoto Trail Elementary

Welcome to second grade! I am Candice DuBose. I grew up in Phenix City, Alabama. I have always loved teaching young children. Throughout college, I taught in private preschools. In 2007, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from The Baptist College of Florida. I taught second grade for one year in North Carolina and kindergarten for three years in Taylor County, FL. I joined DeSoto Trail in 2020 after 8 years of being a stay-at-home-mom. I have taught 2 year olds through second grade.

My husband, Jayce, and I have been married since May 2007. We moved to Tallahassee in 2016. We have 4 amazing children: Harrison, Chandler, Hallie, and Mila. We also have a basset hound named Memphis June. When I’m not at school teaching, you can likely find me at my kids’ ball games, practices, gymnastics, Young Actors Theatre, or church. I also help my husband with youth ministry at Canopy Roads Baptist Church.

• Favorite Sports Team: Florida Gators (my husband finally converted me from an Auburn Tiger)
