DeSoto Trail Elementary

I'm proud to serve as the Principal of DeSoto Trail Elementary School. I am a graduate of Florida State University, with a Bachelor's Degree in English and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. I am also certified in Exceptional Student Education. I started my teaching career  32 years ago working for Leon County Schools as an ESE teacher. I have 10 years of experience as an ESE teacher, 2 years as a Reading Coach, and have spent the past 21 years as a school administrator. I was an Assistant Principal at Nims Middle School and Deerlake Middle School, and this is my 19th year serving as the Principal of DTES.

I am married and have 2 children. I enjoy reading, traveling, shopping, and spending time with friends and family. I love the FSU Seminoles, support our family's legacy at Eckerd College, and a piece of my heart will always cheer for the East Tennessee State University Bucs and Oklahoma Sooners football teams.  I am also a big Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Rays, and Tampa Bay Lightning fan.
