Girls on the Run @ DTES
Inspiring Confidence, Building Connections, Growing Strong
Girls on the Run is a program designed to empower individuals of all abilities to discover, build, and grow their self-confidence. Through engaging lessons and activities, participants experience a true sense of belonging and teamwork.
Volunteer coaches lead sessions that combine physical activity with life skills development, including:
- Managing emotions
- Fostering friendships
- Expressing empathy
At the end of the season, the team completes a Community Impact Project and runs a 5K together, creating a tangible sense of accomplishment and setting a confident mindset into motion.
Program Details
- Grades: 3rd – 5th
- Meeting Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
- Time: 2:50-4:15pm
- Location: School Track
Flyers with sign-up information for the current semester will be sent home in Monday folders each August and January.
