DeSoto Trail Elementary

Hello. My name is Heather Guta. I have been a proud member of the DeSoto Trail Elementary team since 2016, where I teach Kindergarten. My greatest joy as a teacher is watching my students’ confidence and excitement grow as they learn new skills throughout the year. I strive to create a warm, supportive classroom environment that feels like a “class family,” helping every child feel valued and inspired to learn.

I am originally from Panama City, Florida, and I graduated from Florida State University. I am married to my husband, Nathan, and we have two wonderful children, Cody and Emily. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, relaxing at the beach, reading a good book, and watching movies. Teaching Kindergarten is truly my passion, and I love fostering a love of learning in my students every day.
