My name is Maddi Rosenthal and I am the Guidance Teacher at DeSoto Trail! I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Flagler College. Before I began teaching, I gained years of experience working with students in both Afterschool and Summer Camp programs. I also had the pleasure of being an intern with the Kindergarten team here at DeSoto Trail. I am a Tallahassee native, and grew up here with my two older brothers as well as my dog Lexi. I am proud and excited to be a Trailblazer, and am looking forward to a spectacular year in Guidance!
Safety Patrol
Ms. Rosenthal sponsors our Safety Patrol, which is a leadership opportunity for fifth graders who demonstrate exemplary behavior and responsibility. Students can apply at the beginning of the school year to join this respected team. Patrols help keep our campus safe by performing important duties such as monitoring hallways, assisting with car pickup, and raising and lowering the flag with care and respect.
Patrols serve in morning or afternoon shifts and are expected to set a positive example for others. The program and gives students a chance to develop teamwork, leadership, and pride in serving their school while taking ownership of our highest priority: the safety of everyone on our campus.
